Our Position on Covid-19

Tshwane College will always abide by the regulation issued by the state in relation to Covid-19 respond measures. We will ensure that the below measures are adhered to, in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

  • No Mask No Entry. All Students, Staff and Contractors will always wear masks when entering and moving around the premises. 
  • Always Sanitize. Our Premises are equipped with Sanitizing stations, everyone is expected to sanitize on the their way in and out.
  • Temperature Checks. Everyone entering the premises, will have their temperature checked and recorded by our staff at the entrance. 
  • Reduced Class Capacity. Our classes’ setups have been re-designed and capacity reduced to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Covid-19 Test - Tshwane College is not a testing station, instead all those showing symptoms are encourage to visit their nearest hospital.

General Tips for Preventing the Spread of the Virus

  • Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
  • Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell.
  • If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.

Calling in advance allows your healthcare provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This protects you, and prevents the spread of viruses and other infections.

Masks

Masks can help prevent the spread of the virus from the person wearing the mask to others. Masks alone do not protect against COVID-19, and should be combined with physical distancing and hand hygiene. Follow the advice provided by your local health authority.
